Boost Your Video Marketing With These Tips from Millennials and Gen Zers
Are Millennials and Gen Z a part of your target audience? Do you want to be sure your content is relatable to those generations? The new generation’s buying process has made it possible for marketers to analyze video marketing trends from understanding video’s popularity within the demographic. If you’re looking to grow your brand with the younger demographic, review these video marketing takeaways to implement your video marketing strategy.
It’s understandable why video is more popular to watch than written content on mobile devices. Since mobile devices have smaller screens, videos prove to be the preferable option to produce engaging or educational content. Video is also doing exceedingly well on social media. Most millennials and Gen Zers are on mobile devices coursing through popular social media platforms such as TikTok, with 1 million views watch in its first year. There are also 8 billion daily video views on Facebook, according to OptinMonster. With the number of videos watched daily in the billions, it makes sense why about 40% of millennials trust videos. As you add videos to your content marketing strategy, monitor and explore the popularity over time of the old and new platforms and features. Build your audience on multiple channels, not on one channel for short-term potential popularity.
As a small business owner and creative, you want to connect with your audience through authentic storytelling. It’s not completely necessary to hire a production company or strive for high production quality. Focus on creating videos that offer value for your audience and are short and engaging. A video marketing strategy is composed of five elements and each plays a vital role in the performance of your video. Start by establishing your objectives or what goals you want your videos to meet. This information will aid you in your video brainstorm and research on current trends or on what competitors are doing. Next, write down any piece of equipment you plan to use to shoot your video. Videos can be played on your website, email newsletter, or social media. Overcome these Challenges to Succeed in Video Marketing
Video marketing is a powerful strategy that, when done well, can set your business on the path to accomplishing your goals, such as increasing brand awareness or improving SEO. While the benefits of video marketing are always something to look forward to, especially for any business starting with video marketing, there may be challenges along the way. Are you currently experiencing some challenges in your video marketing and need some guidance? In this article, we’ll highlight the challenges small businesses may face when working with video marketing from the planning stage to the analysis stage.
The planning stage is what sets the course for the whole video creation process. Not planning well can leave your viewers feeling confused about what the video’s objective was. Keep your target audience in mind when creating videos, what you want to say, and how you want your message conveyed. Once you’ve identified what pain point or question you are going to solve and decided what type of video (tutorial, interviews, how-to’s, etc.) you’re going to use, write a list of talking points to say during the video. Videos play a major role in connecting your business with your viewers, and talking without a script can create the impact of having a genuine conversation with your viewers. In your list of talking points, please include a sentence or question to keep your audience’s interest. Your opening hook will capture and draw your audience in, but your main message should be valuable and tell a story that either entertains, inspires, or informs them.
Don’t forget to include any part of your branding in your video! A logo at the bottom corner and a CTA lets viewers know who your company is and where to find more information about your company. A CTA isn’t the only thing to include in your videos. To help your video’s SEO, add a target keyword in the title and meta description. Also, share the video on the social media platforms your consumers frequent, include your video in your website and email newsletter, and invest in paid ads for maximum reach. A video marketing strategy must include analyzing the performance of your video. Reviewing what worked and what didn’t will help prepare you for your next video.

Apply These 6 Video Types to Improve Your Business
A growing number of businesses are seeing the positive impact videos have on their business. Videos help improve engagement and conversion rates on your websites and social platforms. With so many options out there, it can seem daunting to create one that fulfills your business goals. We’ve compiled a list of the needed six video types to create for your business.
The first four focus on your customers and viewers. If your business is in an industry many may be unfamiliar with or feature terms that need an explanation, the best solution would be to create explainer videos. Explainer videos can help viewers understand your business better and possibly increase sales. Have a new product coming out and want your customers to know all about it? Product videos are best, in this regard, as they demonstrate the product’s features and benefits to the consumers. This is the time to answer any consumer’s questions and offer any tips to use the product or service in the best capacity. Consumers are then informed with the information from the video to make a purchasing decision. Also, consider creating a customer support video that answers more questions your customers may have once they become your customer.
With those two video types created, your consumer knows your business and the products offered. What they don’t know is what past customers have to say about your business. This is where a testimonial video plays a role. Testimonials show the potential customer the positive impact your business had with your satisfied regular customers. These types of videos provide your business the opportunity to teach and show your customer that you are a valued trusted brand.
The next two video types focus on creating videos to benefit your internal team. The recruiting videos reveal a behind-the-scenes of what it’s like to be an employee at your business. Videos that inform the employee on the recent company news and train them on new product offerings are valuable resources that can be updated and accessed at any time. Answer, educate, and inform your customers and employees through these types of videos for a prepared, engaging, and competitive business.
